Today we stop and take a moment to consider the impact of suicide on communities’ wellbeing, and the lives of everyone connected. In this current economic environment we acknowledge the mental and emotional instability of vulnerable women/individuals who may be struggling financially, feeling insecure, homeless, and or dealing with unhealthy relationships. Experiencing the daily struggle of dealing with anxiety and suicidal idealisation is a constant reminder of just how close to the edge one can be.
The gift we each hold within is how we touch another, therefore, it is a reminder today for each of us to step in and be present, to support (simple, daily things), and above all to listen. When vulnerability takes one into survival mode, it is important to know that someone is listening. If a vulnerable person chooses to share with you, they are giving you their trust. When you hear them, it can make a difference.
The “Gift” verse is a reminder we each hold a gift that we share with all, that we leave behind a gem for others to find. The giftedness of each life lived touches us personally, for each of us to understand a little more clearly who we are.
“Thank you for your giftedness and time shared, may your journey continue to expand your horizons.” (Monica K.)
